Hello, great question! The Exclamation and Question marks in Spanish are used at the beginning and end of sentences because they let the readers know beforehand whether the sentence is actually a question or being told as a statement. This then allows the reader to annunciate certain words so they sound like a more like a question rather than a statement while speaking. I hope this helps!

- Students and/or Tutors: what are some of your favorite podcasts in Spanish?
My all-time fave is Radio Ambulante but I don't always have time to listen to their episodes, which tend to be around 40 minutes long. On the shorter side, I like El Hilo, which is more news-based, and Así Como Suena, great for hearing voices and accents from all around América Latina.

the words "por" and "para" are prepositions which have different uses but their main difference is this: POR : expresses the motive, cause or reason behind an action. if you can substitute "because of" into your sentence, you need this preposition ej: fuí a la fiesta solo por tí (i went to the party for you) PARA: indicates the ultimate purpose of the action if you can substitute "in order to", "so" or "to" you need this preposition ej: fuí a la fiesta para ver a ver a Veronica (fuí a la fiesta a ver a veronica)

Hi, that sentence is an idiom, you wouldn’t translate it literally as you read it. The meaning is “a show of person that use to be proud of the things he/she owns or does, really doesn’t have that and is lacking in that”
