In order to add something to the other answers (that are already very useful) I would suggest to imitate whatever you arer listening to (a dialogue in a film, a part of a podcast, etc.) but in a funny way. The more exaggerated or theatrical the better, like a real actor or actress. And then, practice with real people. Un saludo!

  • Hello Fateh. The best way to pick up the accents is through exposure. Thanks to the internet it is possible for us to view content produced by foreigners and learn how they speak and express themselves. In case you wish to pick up accents, I suggest you to find out Youtubers from the countries whose accents you want to get used to. I hoped my response helped you. Have a nice day.

  • The #1 best way to pick up an accent is by living in a Spanish speaking country. Being immersed in the culture forces you to adapt and evolve.

  • Yet the best way to pick up a particular accent is to listen carefully and through imitation. Chose the Spanish accent you want to learn and try to consume as much media as you can and pay attention to the subtleties of the pronunciation of each word in the sentence. Accent exist not only in the word, but in the cadence of the sentence which is related to the rythm of the speaker. In some countries as Colombia, Spanish is spoken in a slowly manner, whereas in some parts of Mexico is quite faster.

  • Well, it may depend on what kind of Spanish you want to learn. There are many varieties of accents tho it's not so important, as long as you can make yourself understood by other Spanish speakers. Accents are not as important as the words you choose to communicate with others, as there are many different regionalism, depending on the Spanish that you're learning.

  • Mantener comunicación con personas nativas de ese país .😇 Sin embargo hay países que siempre habrán entidades que hablan con un acento distinto.

  • To pick up an accent you first mis decide which accent you want, Spanish has so many!!! And then take it from there, listen to people you like how they sound, and try to imitate them, exaggerate!! Fake it until you make it!!! 😉

  • For the accents the best thing you can do is to watch a show or a movie in Spanish (not Mexican its not completely the same). For best results write down some of the words you don't understand and later write next to them the translation I hope I helped

  • Simple, listen to your preferred accent everytime you can and practice repeating until your tongue gets used to it.

  • Listening to Spanish speaking native people, through streaming Netflix for example or other source, the more you listen to it, it will be easier to get it.

  • I'm sorry if I comment twice haha but I also would like to suggest that you can check specific aspects of the pronunciation of that accent that make it highlight. In Spanish, some of the strongest aspects that differentiate accents are the pronunciation of the letters "s", "c", "z", the strength of "b,v" and "d" and the intonations of specific parts of words. I hope that helped a bit :)
