Have a clear objective for the lesson - what you are plannimg to teach and what you want your student to have achieved by the end of the lesson. Make the objectives of the lesson known to the student at the start of the lesson. Adapt the lesson to the student's learning style. Include engaging activities and encourage participation from student. Manage time by focusing on key concepts. End off with review exercises of choice. The most important thing is to plan the timing of your lesson to stay on track with achieving the lesson objectives. Remember, you can give the student homework to reinforce where they might have struggled to grasp.
