Wow, I'm amazed at how many books these people were able to read. I remember starting an awesome book called "Non-Violent Communcation" that helped me to communicate better, even though I haven't finished it yet. Other than that, I was studying some books regarding Business English in order to be able to better help my students.

Let's imagine what you would like to do if you had a huge power over the educational system in your country? Please, think of: 1) schools (what you wanna change in them - books, nutrition, uniform, teacher's wage etc.); 2) lessons (quantity of'em, structure, new subjects); 3) unis; 4) curriculum; 5)duration of the lesson (e.g. in Ukraine we have a lesson per 45 mins); 6) a quantity of weekdays for students (I prefer 4\3). If I had the power I would begin by making play a priority for children. I worked in the US school system and kids at my school had less than one hour outside in a school day, sad. More time outside and less time reading a books about what the teacher can do with the students. And so much more….

English can help you professionally and socially and when i mean socially and professionally. It can enable you to use the language English in the workplace such as building trust with your colleagues and clients , helping the company to succeed, it can also provide the person with confidence when delivering presentations and speeches, and it will increase your chances of traveling for work in a different country.

LafestaTESOL certified English teacher. I have experience teaching Russian and Ukrainian languages.I learned Chinese for couples of years but didn't progress much. I couldn't say I totally gave up on it, still waiting for perfect opportunity to restart learning Chinese.

It is always possible to teach yourself by watching movies etc, But it is rather like playing tennis alone, you learn to hit the ball OK but without a good coach to help by returning the ball and stretching your ability, you will plateau quickly and never reach your full potential. I have found 10 weeks is the perfect time to show significant improvement in Fluency. I believe one can learn 3 languages at the same time, here is South Africa, students learn 3 languages , English, Afrikaans and a choice of a third African language

Does the teacher listen to you? Are you motivated by the teacher? Does your teacher understand you?

A "good" teacher is one who keeps on learning himself/herself. To give a "perfect" class or experience, we need to be equipped with all the necessary things in the first instance & then all depends on our delievery of the lesson.
