  • I believe its better to be honest with people. Realistic is always best.

  • Well that all depends on the student. Each person is different and not all are on the same level but high expectations may help to push certain learners to reach their potential but I think this is where discernment is necessary or to get to know your students well. I would say be realistic and then take it from there, One will quickly know who needs what...

  • Both high and realistic expectations can help students. But it ultimately depends on the individual student’s specific needs and abilities. Setting high expectations can motivate students to push themselves, but can also lead to stress and anxiety if expectations are too unrealistic or Unattainable. On the other hand, realistic expectations can provide a sense of accomplishment and build self-confidence but may not challenge the student to reach their full potential. It’s important to strike a balance between high but achievable expectations.

  • Sometimes when I set high expectations, I get frustrated when students fail to meet them. Over the years, I have learned that a good teacher is someone who can get the level of challenge right. The higher your expectations, the more challenging the activities. It really depends on the level of the students you’re teaching.

  • I would have to say a little of both, I always told my step kids who are 18 now, Twins lol. That you should always be trying to learn something. Even if its small. Having high expections set yourself to want to want more while at the same time having realistic expections means that you know were the roof is so to speak. Now having a little of both means that you will always am higher than what you expect and with a little elbox grease you will almost always get there. The times that you dont make it all the way, you know that you tried your hardest to over come any obstelce even yourself to get there.

  • Setting high helps students more since it will bolster their confidence, increase their efforts, make them persistent, and help them perform better. But with realistic expectations, learners are expected to try their best and they can be discouraged at the end and change.
