Alice Brighton

My name is Alice Brighton. I am 35 year old native English speaker living in South Africa. My hobbies are watching TV, listening to music, travelling, and go for walks. I am a very patient and kind and also humorous, l also like learning about different cultures and languages. I have 10 years experience of tutoring . 1) I provide homework assistance using specific curriculum and materials. 2) motivates students towards learning and studying to build self confidence and reduce fear of failure. 3) support students with helpful study habits and exam strategies. 4) Play games, work on puzzles and read books for young children. For effective learning and meaningful teaching students should always feel encouraged, valued and respected. My teaching style is primarily centred on class engagement, to achieve this l make sure l cater for everyone, to use material that is as interesting as possible. I like the use of group exercises and colourful PowerPoint slides, and even videos were possible to demonstrate learning points. I believe that this is something that increases student’s interests significantly.
