It's matter of choices, I start to learn languages in order to explain myself better with my coworkers and friend, it's never to late for culturally enrichment.
It's never too late to learn a language. We all learn our mother tongue when we are children, normally this is the language that our parents speak and/or the language spoken in the country we live. Those who decide to learn the Italian as a foreign language can do so for many reasons: some have Italian relatives who never taught them to speak Italian when they were children; some need it for work, or want to learn it for holidays or leisure. Personally I believe that it doesn't matter how old you are, what is important is the commitment you make to learning.

Yes, italian is generally considered a relatively easy language for English speakers to learn. There will be challenges along the way, but with the right motivation and resources, an English speaker can certainly achieve a good level of Italian.
