A lot of my new students feel nervous about speaking in English because they're afraid of making mistakes. This is because their previous teachers spent a lot of time on theoretical English without giving them the chance to practice. To help them feel more confident, I make sure to create a safe and supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable taking risks and trying new things. I also stress that making mistakes is a crucial part of the learning process.

  • Learning English can be challenging because of the many rules and exceptions in grammar that can be confusing. Additionally, understanding and pronouncing new words can take time, making it harder to become fluent.

  • My students face the same challenges I faced while I was studying Arabic, they were dialects, people speaking too fast, cultural references that were foreign to me and teachers correcting me too soon while trying to produce a sentence with my limited vocabulary, I found this very discouraging and know how to teach without making my students feel rushed or silly or incompetent.

  • Learning a new language can feel overwhelming, so it's crucial to remain patient throughout the process. Understanding that you may not meet certain expectations is part of the journey.

  • I believe the biggest challenge in learning the language is to stay active & motivated in a long run; to stay consistent & take your regular practice. Most of the time students lose their motivation for various reasons; the best way to deal with that in my opinion is to find engaging ways to practice which will be interesting for you. Track & notice your progress (that helps to stay motivated), remember what your goal is and keep going!
