From my perspective, I believe that listening to music does not have any positive impact on enhancing spoken English skills. Even individuals who are native English speakers might misunderstand the intended message of the singer. Moreover, the pronunciation in songs can be peculiar. Singers often alter the way they pronounce their native language to fit the lyrics of the song. So if you enjoy the sound of English-language music, feel free to listen to it, but don't expect it to help you in communicating coherently in the language. Mark's point of view resonates with me, as I firmly believe that podcasts offer an excellent opportunity to enhance one's listening abilities. I suggest recording yourself summarizing the podcasts you've listened to in English, as this method can significantly boost fluency and allow you to track your progress over time. Cheers:)
In my opinion Movies are better to improve your speaking because conversations are more real and broader that includes different subjects. Music and songs are perfect to improve listening and pronunciation.

Most young children learn languages through songs. Usually, in pre-school. They repeat the songs over and over till they memorize. Pop songs could be a challenge for older children as the words are not well pronounced or might have some unsuitable words.
I think song and music can help improve your English, especially if you tend to be more of an auditory learner. There are some people who are very gifted in writing music and learning the words of songs very easily, these people will benefit from learning through songs. The learner's choice of songs is crucial. Students who are just starting to learn English will find benefit in listening to nursery rhymes and poems that have clear pronunciation and simple words. For the more advance learner, dissecting song lyrics could be an interesting and enjoyable form of learning.
Songs can be tricky. They've got very informal vocabulary, expressions and poetic license to make very bad use of english grammar. Ideally, if you study a particular song during class, your teacher should point out which expressions and verb tenses you can use on your day-to-day life, and what it should not be used due to being grammatically incorrect. All in all, a good tutor can make the best out of the listening experience and boost student's learning process through it. Well ..In my opinion listening to music by following the lyrics ,learning vocabulary , pronunciation and expressions is extremely useful but you have to practice the vocabulary learned also by making your own sentences and by using it in every day conversations.In short ...you have to learn while you listen to your favorite music with the guide of a teacher that helps you to take advantage from the content of the lyrics.
It depends on the "how"! but to be honest with you in my opinion to improve students' speaking skill we teachers need to work hard on different skills like grammar and vocabulary too!
In my opinion, I think that music plays a big role in helping enhance English, especially fluency although some songs may not follow the correct grammar rules.

Through modeling, where the teacher provides a clear model of the pronunciation, and the student repeats it. Secondly, phonetic transcription using the International phonetic Alphabet (IPA) which can help the student understand how words are pronounced. Another way could be using tongue twisters, which can be a fun and helpful way for practicing pronunciation , especially for sounds that are difficult to pronounce. The last way could be recordings, where students could listen to native speakers and imitate how they pronounce words.
