Every student is different, and there's no universal method for encouraging them to book another English class. I see it as a personalized journey, similar to selling a car; it's essential to grasp each person's specific needs, likes, and aspirations. My approach centers on forming a real bond with the student. I evaluate their current skills and discover what inspires or challenges them. When they recognize the true benefits, they are more inclined to return. In the end, it’s all about creating an engaging and meaningful experience that keeps them motivated to come back for more:)
Every student is different so you take the time out and get to know them get to know their interest and topics they like in that way you can build your lessons around that and surly it would seem more interesting to the student and once their happy they will surly book a next lesson with you.
Preferably before the trial(if not possible, then during trial),I find out:why they learning English, if there’s a specific time frame in which to do it, needs analysis, interests and hobbies, whether they work and in what sector, studying etc. The trial would be based on this. I also ask if they have a preference in learning methods. The student then can see that you’ve put in a special effort to get to know much about them. Ensure trial is engaging and ask at end of trial whether they enjoyed it. Maybe show what type of lessons you have in mind for them if time allows it. If they want or prefer homework, because not all students have time for this.

Start testDuring the lesson I ask about their interests and hobbies then create a lesson plan tailored for their needs. This makes them feel special and important, which is what I like about them.
After getting to know the student, I would usually start something that I hope the student would like to continue.
I don’t exactly have a strategies. it really just depends on the student. However, at the end of trail lessons, I always remind the students if they think I am the best tutor for them and they wish to continue, please subscribe and let me know when the next schedules will be so I can plan accordingly just for them. But if they choose not to continue with me, I always let them know that it is okay too.
Students in online classes have different motivations. The most important strategy to me is doing a needs analysis and finding out their WHY? Then structure an individual learning plan with regular feedback on progress.
provide homework or practice exercises, then follow-up with an email or a message and then invite them to book another class
I emphasize the benefits of continued learning and highlight progress made in previous classes. I offer bonus points, coupons, discounts and flexible scheduling options and suggest specific topics that align with their interests. I follow up with a friendly reminder to maintain engagement.
When giving feedback to my student about how she/he performed in the lesson, I highlight areas that she struggled in and tell her that we'll focus on that in our next class.
