What is the hardest thing about German Language?

From what I have seen in students I taught, it's mostly the grammatical structures (such as the 4 cases, which confuses a lot of people) and the gender of the words (der, die, das) which is hard, especially for people who grew up with english as a maternal language, and only have one article.
the hardest thing about learning any language is to keep being motivated and disciplined. and as for German, it is important to understand its logic and structure.
