As an English teacher, my ongoing learning priorities include staying abreast of evolving language trends, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, and adapting to diverse student needs. Continuous professional development in linguistics, literature, and educational technology for fostering an engaging and effective learning environment. :)
This is a really interesting question because I have asked myself the same thing about Korean, the language I am learning. I don't have the exact answer because my friends and I all would say different things, but I would say depending on your language goals, that particular aspect of the language would be most important. If you're taking a test, then vocabulary, grammar would be the most helpful with those as a foundation, listening and speaking will come naturally with practice. If you would like to speak, then speaking with other learners or native speakers would be helpful. If you want to improve your listening the watching dramas, movies, or listening to music would be helpful. Depending on what is important to you, that's what would be important for learning English.
Frankly speaking the most essential stuff for me (as an English teacher) is to follow all the novelties occuring in language. It's fact that language is transforming as other spheres of life do so we always need to be in the loop of new words and phrases

To have a strong motivation and desire to learn it to a very high level. This sets the tone for everything else. There is a lot the tutor can do, and there are a lot of materials that can be used but once a student isn't strongly motivated to learn, not much can be done.
And also just patience and discipline, if you wanted that bad you will learn it of course
You need to add it into your routine. I f English is not your native language you should learn to speak other ways, and what's better than listening to music ? Or watching a film, try first to listen to them and then try to understand what they saying and translate it to your own language which makes it possible to learn english in a very fast way.
You need to surround you with English environmental: listen, read, watch videos in English. Write insights daily
You need a lot of perseverance to learn English - you will need to practice speaking, reading or listening each day. Practice English by learning about subjects that interest you as that will help keep you engaged! It also helps if you can find a friendly teacher to help and encourage you along the way.
