One of my students is a very highly educated, bright and interesting person. She struggles with phonics/accent. The hard part with her, is slowing her down to a level where she can take on new information without it getting boring.

To all of us,what English Topic that is hard to learn/teach ? What is your opinion on the topic.

Any specific field of study requiring deep analysis and analytical thinking skills may be a challenge for some students. They must know specific vocabulary and be able to express their knowledge in a given foreign language structure.  

I found some grammatical structures really hard to digest for students. It may seem simple but perhaps using auxiliary verbs in making questions sometimes baffles the beginners. Also, lack of a sound/ phoneme in your mother tongue makes it difficult for students to grab that easily.
