Pantalones: dos o más Pantalon: uno solo

  • In Puerto Rico we call them mahones. Pronounced mā-o-nez. Pantalones we use for pants in general. I visited Spain and they had no clue as to what I meant by mahones. "Was looking for a short pair of jeans." Once I said that they are blue and very casual, they blurted out "vaqueros!" So in response to "what are you looking for" your answer would be "unos vaqueros". Seeing as Spain spanish is our mother language, the most correct answer is vaqueros.

  • Hola Lidia!

  • You should use “pantalones”

  • In Mexico we call them: Pantalones de mezclilla, but we use jeans as well.

  • It really depends on the country. In Dominican Republic, we call them "jeans." Other countries refer to them as "pantalones," "vaqueros," etc. in the DR, to say: "I bought a pair of jeans," we would say: "Compré unos jeans." Hope it helps!

  • Hi , great question 👍, you can use either, however unos pantalones sounds better, just a matter of preference x

  • " Un par de pantalones" if it's two, but if it's one, You should use "un pantalón "
