Well, the way I see it, everything is difficult until you master it.

  • That really depends , if the "other" language is from fundamentally different family than fresh learner might experience certain difficulty. Native english speaker who is fluent in Italian might find easier to learn Spanish then Russian.

  • No I find it a bit easier, and I learn mostly phrases, greetings, questions.

Languages within the same language family as English, or that share a lot of vocabulary and grammar, will also be easier.
