Hello students. Is "small talk" in English difficult for you?
My Business and Legal English students often told me that they dreaded the coffee breaks during official meetings; they quite simply did not know how to "do" small talk.

Hi Small talk is simple cheating among colleagues or friends. You can talk about sport, weather, your last movie, your last date or purchase, everything you need to break the silence ๐ค๐ค๐ค Best Regards

Hi there all, I have been teaching a subsequent amount of small talk lessons and activities to get all my adult students on track. Small talk becomes difficult because students do not have enough vocabulary and phrases learned.

I like to check in with my students about how theyโve been since our last class. This not only gives us a chance to practice small talk but also allows me to tailor the session to their individual experiences. E.g. Before we jump into todayโs lesson, how was your weekend?
