Simple, imagine the world without language!!! Almost 80% of what we do would be impossible, our lives would just be reduced to that of a cat's life( not that cats are not having a good life).

  • Language plays a very important role in my life and without it I don’t think I would exist. We need language in order to communicate. Language has evolved over time from the hunters and gatherers until now with the advancement in technology, through texts and phone calls. Although I believe that humans would still find another way to communicate.

  • Language is who we are , it shows our culture, it affects how we behave , how we react, who we have in our lives as friends, as close people, even the content to which we are exposed to , the kind of friends we can have, jobs! Our whole lives will go either direction depending on the languages we know , or are willing to learn.

  • Without language there is no communication. Whatever language you speak is very important. It could be Spanish, Urdu, Mandarin or English. If one wants to travel, I feel the English language is the most important of all. English is spoken throughout all over the world, even in small islands and in South-East Asia. It means a lot to me personally for teaching, talking to friends, watching movies and learning as well. The mother-tongue comes naturally as the child grows up imitating from the parents and siblings The child does not need to learn the mother-tongue. Other languages can be learnt especially when they are young. In Malaysia, a 6 year old child of mixed parentage can speak 4 languages. Firstly, from his mother, Cantonese, and another language from his dad, Tamil, then English and Malay from the surrounding and in school. Sometimes the child also picks. up Mandarin when it is taught in school. Most children in Malaysia speak at least 3 languages.

  • It's all about connecting people 😌. We can't imagine a life without it . Even sign languages are playing an important role in day to day life .

  • Every species among us has a kind of language and way of communication. The human race needs to communicate and without our languages I believe communication would be very difficult for all living beings.

  • Language is indispensable because it makes it possible for humankind to communicate with each other. Not only is the diversity of languages remarkable, but also the interaction and evolution of each language provide valuable information. To me, every word can be meaningful. It may go way back, and having the ability to express with words what I see, hear, taste, smell, touch, and most importantly what I feel is the ultimate gift. May I suggest a book (it's a novel by Marcus Zusak) or a movie based on it? You might have already watched it. It's called "The Book Thief". It describes perfectly the profound impact of words and language.

  • Language builds bridges of communication between people all over the world.

  • Human beings need to communicate, including our deaf and mute, whether it is through spoken, braille or actions and of course written, only language can close that gap
