Why do students turn off the camera during lessons?
Sometimes, students will seem disrespectful to cover up their low self-esteem issues. Knowing the root cause of an attitude can help us understand the student. Not everyone has the same issues though. Would like to hear what you think.

Some students can be shy and experience some anxieties which is completely normal and can be worked around. Others may be performing actives while speaking with you in private.
Hi It's simple they don't want to be seen. They can do whatever they want. To be watched constantly could be stressful. I leave my students feel free, relaxed and comfortable Best regards
Wow, I did not think that they allowed to do that, however as teachers we must find ways to break the ice so to say, draw your student in, perhaps just talk, try all things to help the student.

Start testWe are deferent some people are shy and some are talkative naturally so for shy student's to be comfortable I suppose they choose to listen while you teach rather than seeing you teach .
Reasons why students turn off their cameras during lessons may differ from student to student. Some students may do this because they are carrying out some private activities that they don't want to interfere with the lessons while others may feel dissatisfied with the lessons, and it might be their polite way of expressing their dissatisfaction.
