  • Making English learning fun and engaging by focusing on a student's hobbies and interests is super important for a few reasons: Staying Interested and Excited: When we talk about stuff that students love, it keeps them interested and excited about learning English. It's way more fun to learn about things we love, right? Learning That's All About You: By talking about your hobbies and interests, we can make learning English all about you! It's like customizing your learning experience to fit you perfectly. Using English in Real Life: When we connect English to your hobbies, it shows how you can use English in real life, like chatting about your favorite things and activities. Learning About Different Cultures: Exploring your interests through English can also teach you about different cultures, which is pretty cool! Feeling Confident: When you can talk about what you love in English, it helps you feel more confident using the language. That's a big win for your speaking skills!

  • One of the best ways to keep your students engaged is to make your lessons interactive and hands on. You can do this by using a variety of activities, such as role playing, group discussions, and problem solving tasks. It's also important to encourage your students to ask questions and express their opinions. Finally, try to make your lessons relevant to your students' lives by relating the content to their experiences and interests.

  • I think it is important to know what your student is interested in. Knowing that, you, as a teacher, can include something that will really catch their eye. Like, you know that they like singing - listen to songs together, do some exercise after; or read a successful story of some music band; or watch an interview.

  • I think common strategies include question and answer session, discussion, interactive lecture, quick writing assignments and experiential learning.

  • Base the lessons around what they are interested the most and encourage them to talk about it.

  • Know what topics your student like and assess them based on those topics.

  • The best way to keep students engaged is to get the students to speak. It's all about having a conversaion, not just questions and answers. When people speak to each other their conscious mind concentrates on what they want to say, leaving their sub conscious to do the work of absorbing the descriptive grammar (the grammar you need to know for speaking), new vocabulary and idioms. When people are relaxed when they speak, letting their sub conscious do the work it's supposed to, then learning becomes much much easier.
