If your schedule allows, it should be whatever time your brain is at its freshest. It is usually mid-morning

I think its the time you find most convenient for you, be it morning or night. 

I believe studying should be done when the brain is most alert and teachable. Scientists have proven that those times are 10 am-2pm and 4pm-10pm.

Astrologers would have us studying only during full moon😀, but  I would argue study whenever you can, be systematic, make it habit and be diligent.

It all comes down to personal preference, but I personally would prefer to stay up all night than to wake up in the morning.
