I think the most valued quality my students see in me is my patience. Being an English tutor, I know that learning a language can be tough, and it's common for students to feel frustrated when they have difficulty with certain concepts or grammar rules. My patience enables me to establish a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere where students are at ease asking questions, making mistakes, and attempting again. Through my patience, I assist my students in developing confidence in their skills and motivating them to be daring in their language learning adventure.
I appreciate a tutor who is patient and a good listener, because a good listener pays attention to the needs of her students.

A tutor with a sense of humor and patience
Being present in the moment and not on autopilot. Many tutors I listen too, just go through the motions. Perhaps it is because they do not feel like they are being paid enough for their time, or perhaps it is something else, but I have seen it a lot. Being present in the moment make lessons much more engaging and fruitful.
