I would really like to ban the use of "s" in the third person in simple present sentences!

I would change the tenses reduce them to just 3. Present, past and the future tense.
I would simplify the irregular spelling to make them more phonetic . This would help learner and reduce confusion over words like through and though
I would eliminate the articles and I would make the word order flexible in the English language.

Start testI would change the spelling most times as a new English learner spelling comes across as the sound of the word, E.g. Phone - FONE or confusion regarding words like Photo- FOTO to a non native speaker simplifying the spelling can enable a non native to grasp the language at a faster rate a more phonetic approach can help the learning curve.
I would change accents; by doing this everyone will sound exactly the same the pronunciation will also not differ from country to country.
Articles :) Languages with no articles are so much easier.
If I had the power to change the English language, I would make spelling phonetic to match pronunciation, remove irregular verbs for consistency, introduce and normalize gender-neutral pronouns and simplify the use of prepositions to make the language easier to learn and use.
