Start testWhen learning a new language the most IMPORTANT thing to learn is how to LISTEN. Listening will allow you to hear and mimic the sounds of words, which is vital, especially when it comes to English, as there is absolutely no way that you can pronounce many of our words just by looking at them written on a page (English spelling is fossilised). Once you can pronounce words, and hear how they are used, speaking English suddenly becomes much easier. Once listening and speaking are learnt, comprehension, reading, and writing become easier.
