Zach

Hi, I'm Zach and I'm an English teacher who has been living in Spain for 3 years. I'm from Iowa in the United States but much prefer living on the beach in Cadiz. I enjoy learning about other cultures, language exchange, writing, photography, and sports. Lately, I have been interested in personal development so reading is a new cherished hobby of mine. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 2018 I signed up for a TEFL program where I was a teaching assistant at a local community college. I was in a classroom with 20 adult students from all over Africa. After earning my certificate I applied for a teaching position in Spain, and I've been here ever since. I am a fun and dynamic teacher. In my classes, I like to focus on conversation fluidity, with an emphasis on grammar. My strategy for expanding my vocabulary is learning and applying words by reading about cultures worldwide. I like to keep my classes as interesting as possible by playing games and learning about anthropology. My ultimate goal is to provide a productive, worthwhile class that is enjoyable for everyone.
