Dead Poet's Society for sure, the movie uses simple and complex language and has a beautiful story to tell. I'm not going to spoil it, but let's just say that this was hands down one of the best performances Robin Williams ever did. I urge you to take a look if you want a wonderful movie that also helps develop your English.
I have used Joachim Foerster's Documentary series which shows how students in the remote parts travel to school. They are documented in Nepal, India, Province of China, South America and in some countries with heavily laden snow paths. I show this documentary movies to instill in them how children desire to go to school in such harsh environment because they want to be better than their fathers and have a good life. Some of the students do not feel like attending school in spite of being chauffeured and not facing any difficulties. It is also an eye-opener for most children to learn geography and cultures of other people.
Forrest Gump(1994) Life is a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get”. Based on a 1986 novel, Forrest Gump stands at the top place in our list of motivational movies for students. It depicts the journey of a man who despite having an IQ of only 75 wins an accolade for bravery, becomes an expert ping pong player, and makes money by selling shrimps. From being bullied in school due to his disability to taking part in the Vietnam Wars, the film beautifully illustrates how anyone can tackle life obstacles with patience and poise.
I prepare videos for students and include sitcoms specially the big bang theory I never recommend the whole series . Mostly students are into horror genre so creepy pasta is best in podcast 😁.
Hello! I’d recommend listening to The TED talks! Many of them also have the script, so it’s easy to follow while you listen and practise listening skills while seeing the words written down, thus memorising the correct spelling. It’s also great for broadening perspectives 😊
I will recommend that students watch Harry Potter since it contains captivating story with wide range of vocabulary.
