Group discussions and quizzes
The K - W - L teaching strategy is a simple method that can be used to promote critical thinking. K means what you know W means what you want to know L means what you have learnt. The teacher will create a chart/ table, using each letter as a heading. He or will match students responses to instruction given with the respective headings. This strategy can be used with any given class activity.

I like to start lessons with a photograph or two for a warm up. I'll ask students what they think is happening, and use follow up questions to get them to use their imaginations or get more reaction about it. It helps the students loosen up a bit and can be fun to learn more about them.
I prefer to use business, economic, international business, legal, technical engineering and other NYTimes, CNN, USA Today articles to stimulate critical thinking from the strategies used in the articles. I would love the chance to discuss this with you in greater detail.

You'd find that creativity is best done whilst doing what you love doing the most. I encourage my students to create a poster of themselves, using keywords and images allowing the class to get to know who they are. This opens their minds, allows freedom of creative arts and the ability to be who they really are.
