To look closely or examine someone or something.
Survey is used for data collection of data. Example a survey or census is conducted for acquiring information about the population in that area. This will give an estimated number of people living in that area. It helps the Government to decide transportation, clinics to be added, schools, shops and also to know the income brackets of those living in that area. We have a survey done once every 5 years in our country. Surveys are also conducted in commercial sectors, universities and schools. Here is one example in my school. We did a survey for food before we could implement the meals. A few choices were listed and students indicated the type of food preferred. They were all balanced meals. We chose the ones listed by the majority.
