They are interchangeable. You can say, This is my home. This is my house. Both are correct. They say "Home is where your heart is.", referring that emotion is attached to the word home, but they both refer to a dwelling where you live.
As for me, "House" is just a building, the shelter where you phisically live. The "Home" is not just a construction - it is a place where you feel protected and comfortable, where you relax and feel calm. We use the word house to say about the physical place including walls and roof while home is used to describe our emotions and state of being in some place.
Home is where a family lives in a house. House is a building made for people or a family to live in.
A house is a roof over your head, a home is a place where family and/or love is.

A home is built on a foundation of love, care, a place you call your own , a place that give you a inner peace and joy - homes are of affections and a house is just a concrete building that protect you from the hash weather out - it’s just a shelter.
