What has been your most unusual or interesting experience in an online English lesson?

Mine has been teaching a student who was driving during part of the lesson! I think I was more nervous than them.😅 It's actually happened a few times, with different students!

Mine was is quiet funny and really do know either student learned or not. Because she was cooking and on the same time i was teaching her. And she was saying yes yes i understand. But i have to cook also my husband is on the way to home

  • okay, it's not a joke it's real, my 1st student ever kept taking classes for almost a month not because she wanted to learn, but because she wanted to take a break from her husband and spend some time away from him.

  • I have experience teaching a number of teenage students who are not interested in taking the lesson. They enter the lesson room and will not even utter a word nor respond to anything I say. They rather spend all the time or almost all the time playing video games in the background, and all my attempt to encourage them to give some attention to the lesson is not heeded. It can be quite frustrating but I always try to maintain a smiling demeanor and leave notes that they can study at least. I always do my best to maintain a professional outlook and do my best for the student under the circumstance but I really feel sorry for the student's parents because I doubt they are aware of such conduct.
