Haste means to do something quickly, often too quickly. In this case if you move to quickly you are going to mess up the task at hand. Basically, slow down and make sure you do things correctly as not to 'waste' your time spent on your task.
It is about how rushing can cause mistakes as people don't pay attention properly to what they are doing.
