Find out your students interests and hobbies and structure lessons around that. It is fun for the student and the tutor has a progressive lesson. For example discuss the lyrics of a favourite song, or use pictures from a hobbies to spark conversation.

  • It depends on the cause of boredom. It could be that the student is tired, feeling sleepy or just not ready for the class, even though the teacher is doing a great job. In that case, It would be best to postpone or reschedule the class for another day. To make a good class, both the teacher and the student have to be ready and interested in what they teach and learn. It's a 50/50 effort.

  • You can try asking them about the topics that they're interested in, so you can prepare much more topics about these topics, habits, hobbies, etc. Also you have to make them interact with you, try to let the students speak most of the time rather than you, and also if you could, try to make debates between them (such as making groups between students and let them to debate between each others; and not just between you and them).

  • - Make classes as interactive as possible. - Allow creativity and avoid being too restrictive. - Pick topics that your students are passionate about.

  • Oh dear!!! When you start seeing their faces getting stiff and looking just one direction and in the worst case scenario they start yoning feeling sleepy, then red alert 📢📢📢 get those games and start playing word games, NO formula analysis or grammatical equations, but just pure fun games and Chances are you'll get them back on track!

  • have fun and interactve worksheets. for kids use interesting videos, and adults focus on topics that make them happy.

  • Give them interactive learning materials such as games and activities. Giving such simple conversation and appreciation makes the students feel comfortable enough with the class.

  • Keep them engaged, I believe....however it may be, it needs to involve them. Include topics they are interested in. As for kids, I found that they appreciate even the smallest additions. Show them objects, play them a song, add a picture of a character from their favorite TV show....etc. For adults I've found it to be a bit challenging, especially if they are a very beginner.....but definitely try to make the lesson more dynamic instead of simply presenting the information on the screen and reciting it.
