What do you do when the student is too shy and kind of stressed out?

As soon as I notice my student is shy, I would break an ice by asking them the easiest questions that are related o their real life. Depending on the age too, if they are young, I would sing songs and ask him to join me. In that way, they will start trusting the teacher and be free. Lessons should be lively and enjoyable. That’s why I love this career

Start testI would make a silly mistake just to show them that we are all human. And I will laugh at myself hoping my student would find humor in it to make them feel comfortable. There are allot of warm up conversations to make students feel comfortable.
When I identify that my student is too shy or stressed out, I try to make the lesson less stressful for them and ease the pressure. So for example I'll try to find out what their hobbies are and have a few minutes where the student warms up to the lesson by speaking about things they are comfortable with.
