suffixes are letters or groups of letters added to the end of a word to change its meaning or grammatical function . for example, the suffix -ing can be added to the verb 'run' to form the present participle ' running '.

Hi Ahmed Suffixes are words endings added to the base or root fom of a word to change its meaning or grammatical function,They can modify a word's tense,part of the speech or meaning Example: the suffix''-ing'' can be added to the verb ''run'' to form ''running" which indicates the action is currently taking place Another example is the suffix"ness" which can be added to the adjective "happy" to create the noun "happiness''indicating the state of being happy

These modify words without changing its part of speech. For example "s" by adding this a noun become plural (dog---dogs). "-ed " by adding this present tense changes into past ( play---played). 2) Derivational Suffixes. These create new words or change part of speech. "ness" by adding these letters a noun changes to adjective .For example : happy---happiness. "ly" by adding these letters an adjective changes to adverb .For example; quick---quickly.
