"Early bird catches the worm". I sometimes mention it in my morning classes. :)

I like 'you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time' which means, dont be overwhelmed by large tasks, break it up into smaller chunks......
My favourite is 'better late than never'. I hear it so many times during the day.
Well that's not my one of the fav but I use it "hit the sack". 😀

idioms are a type of figurative language. They are not always meant to be taken literally. An idiom expresses a particular sentiment, but they are do not literally mean what the individual is saying. It is also a saying that is specific to a language. That is, an idiom in English cannot translate to an idiom in French. Example in sentence: It is raining cats and dogs in Kenya. In Swahili idiom is called nahau.
