My question: is Livexp more of a community than an e-learner platform?
On LiveXP there is a massive offer of overqualified tutor that teaches languages online for any kind of need. The number of languages offered is really huge. Is an enormous opportunity to learn from native tutors from all over the world. If it was only this the website should put all its efforts into getting more and more students to the platform and getting their subscriptions. But Livexp is aiming more in creating a community in which the tutors are encouraging students to be part of the platform through tools like the blog and the community questions. Do you think is this the best way to market this website?

Personally, I think the students in this platform are quite lazy or they are few. This is because the teachers answer most of the questions even the ones that are directed to the students. If there's a way that the platform can use to reach more students, then I think it will be better or if there's a better way we can market the website, then it will be okay and the teachers will be able to deliver to the students.
Building a community around an e-learner platform requires time and work. As you said we missed the most important actors: students! How can we do a community question area in which questions are mostly addressed to students and the answers are coming from Live xp tutors? Another point is the language: you cannot have 40 pages of questions about English when the platform is so strong due to the large amount of languages that includes. To finish the most disappointing question is the amount of missing things coming from the tutors profiles. We have an amazing tool on LiveXP called Instant lesson. Tonight I checked every single profile and it was impossible to take an instant lesson because the tutor was outline even since a week! To have credibility we need to take care of our profiles. Enable instant lessons when we are offline is crucial to avoid a bad missing service from the platform.
I think so. It's a nascent education platform and I believe that more ideas and improvements are still in the way.

Start testI believe it is both. It wouldn't exist without the private classes, but this platform is much more than that.

That's a good question, Simona. I would love to see more students participating in the Q&A; I notice that whenever a teacher posts a question directed at students, it's mostly other teachers who answer. I've taught on several platforms and the one that was most like a community was one that offered group classes; they dropped that and went to one-on-one only, but during the group phase the students tended to form connections among themselves and I think that helped with their learning.
LiveXP really keeps both the student and the teacher in mind and they try their best to create a great space for both. I have been teaching on LiveXP for almost a year and I have no regrets at all.
Yeah sure you're right I think it is the best way to market this website.
