I think each and every person knows more than two or three languages. The native language, the tribal language and the global language.

As a Morccan I have been raised speaking 3 languages (Arabic,Tamazight,French), by the age of 8 I started watching alot of Disney movies which lead to lerning English as well , I have been speaking English at a very early time and it wasn't even a thing back then in my country . Learning English made me be more open and alot more aware of so many subjects .
I was raised bilingual. I speak English and Afrikaans fluently. South Africa has 11 official languages. Two Germanic ones ( Afrikaans and English) and 9 indigenous African languages.
I speak two languages at home; English with my boyfriend, and Spanish with my family. My french is at a basic level.

It really depends on the context and the order of topics you are talking about. If you have 2 topics, you refer to the first one as that, and refer to the second one as it. Example: i can't afford buying the red car, although i can buy the green one. But i like that. And it is not what i want.( you are pointing to the cheaper car)
