I would say looking at stuff in general around you and reading it. If you don't understand a word you may have read on the advertisement or anything else, don't leave ask someone the meaning...it will better your knowledge.

Listening to podcasts, reading books, watching books without subtitles, and writing in a diary about your day in English, of course. You can also find a specific subject/topic you're interested in and research it.
