I try to get them to relax, explaining that everyone makes mistakes, myself most of all, nobody knows everything, certainly not their tutor, they are up against no deadlines so if things sometimes go slower than they hoped, who cares? Wherever we are headed, we are in it together
I get to know the students goals and objectives, including who they are as an individual during the trial class. This enables me to prepare a lesson plan that is intended to suit the students demands and comfortability.
When planning my lesson, I decide what kinds of questions will be productive for discussion, it's also important to be flexible in order to make your students feel comfortable

I provide learners with classroom rules, make them understand that, they are in class to complement one another, but not to compete, no laughing at others, no discussion about religion or topics that may be offensive to others. Allow them to naturally become who they really are, by offering them tasks which are suitable to their personalities. Teach learners to appreciate one another and get to know one another better through ice breakers, which are also provided with structured rules.

Making each student feel comfortable and let them know that I will go at their pace. I explain that I am here for them and it is okay to make a mistake, that is how we learn. I show kindness and interest in all they say. Their needs are my priority at all times.
By the chance that I give them to talk and make mistakes.😊 If they feel free to express their opinion in class and not be afraid of making mistakes, they will learn more and more from those mistakes.
I tell them I am there for them,, and them only, I explain that it is so much easier to make mistakes in class, no judgement.. instead of outside of class, where people judge with each sentence.. I tell them that learning a language is getting comfortable with being uncomfortable and I teach that too.. I am still learning languages along with them and totally get how difficult and sometimes embarrassing it seems.. but it is perfectly normal to feel that way.. and then smile.
I make them understand that we all make mistakes and it is ok to make a mistake , so we can learn from them. Let them decide or do more talking in the class.
I let my students feel comfortable when I am teaching by being open to them and giving them the chance to interact to practice open communication so as to let them feel the fun and excitement in learning.
