Yes, you should always use the article "the" when talking about the superlative form of any adjective, i.e. the best, the highest, the worst, the youngest, etc. However, you may hear some people leave out the article. Grammatically it would be incorrect, but it is becoming more common in actual usage.
When you use a superlative, like best, the need an article (the)

There is no definitive answer to this question. It depends on how you want to use the phrase "simple is the best." If you are using it as a general statement about life, then you would not use the article "the." However, if you are using the phrase specifically in reference to something else (e.g., "I believe that simple is the best approach to take in this situation"), then you would use the article "the."

I would not use "the." I'm a native speaker of Canadian English, and using the determiner sounds wrong.
Hi Satomi, in as much as both may sound sweet in the ears, it’s best you the article. This is because with superlative, the article “the” emphasizes on the relationship between, the comparative, or superlative and the participle verb. Example: simple is the best form of most things. Instead of saying: simple is best, I prefer: simple best 😊
Yes we should use The before superlative degree.Grammatically 'simple is the best' is correct one.
Yes we should absolutely use the before the superlative degree of adjectives) Simple is the best
Hi ! Both are correct ,but they differ in their connotations. [Simple is best ]is more cozy than [Simple is the best]. Always add the article (The) with superlative . for example: The most powerful. The greatest man on earth. The best offer . Happy learning ! And remember keep on asking and seeking for knowledge .
Hello, Both are correct to use depending on how you are phrasing it in a sentence. "simple is best"- Is a bit warmer and implies that the receiver edified. "simple is the best"--is stated in a way that makes it sound more like it is an objective fact or quote. Hope that has been helpful:)
