Friendly or Stern. Which approach works for you?
Being a parent myself, I find that a friendly approach with boundaries works for me.

Hi It depends on the different situations. Sometimes you need both. Sometimes they exclude each others Best regards
I will always choose friendly as I believe anyone would choose a friendly person over a stern person as you can speak to them freely. And a wonderful attitude will always take you further.
A friendly approach is best. It allows the student to be comfortable which in turn gives them more confidence to learn and engage with you.

Friendly works most because it makes the student feel more comfortable. The more comfortable student is most likely to come back for more lessons than one that isn’t.
Friendly approach is the best for me.
If you are result orientated and want to see growth and improvement in your student, friendly is the correct approach.

I’m friendly but sometimes my students call me strict… My only rule is that you must speak English all the time though!
There are times that being stern works for me because the situation demands that, but most of the time, being friendly works best.
