Well, one does not need to be strict to be effective. Being efficient with time is probably a better explanation, being focus are far better than being strict and of course, the student must enjoy the journey so balanced is a better approach.
Hi Personally I haven never been a strict teacher since I teach. I don't need to be. I work with adults amd they know that if they want improve, they need to follow my advice. Best Regards
A strict teacher is someone who maintains rules and respect in the class. Who will expect students to participate and follow the flow of the lesson. He or she will also expect the students to give their best in class.

One who enforces rules and expectations , maintains discipline in the learning setting whether online or in a physical classroom. When a teacher is strict it also applied to the teacher as well; so the teacher as his or her own expectations to keep up to.
