I'm from Ukraine and I'm 24. I like reading fiction, photography and cycling. I have been teaching English for more than six years, at first I worked offline with children and teenagers for 3 years, but for the last three years I have been working online with adults in individual, group and pair formats. 4 years ago, I received an international TESOL certificate, which allows me to teach English to speakers of other languages around the world. During this time, I also attended many webinars and workshops for teachers and tutors, which significantly improved my skills. I am also constantly improving my knowledge of English and recently started preparing for CAE, an exam that confirms the level of English proficiency C1. I work according to the communicative method - my classes are held entirely in English, we work with all language skills - grammar, vocabulary, writing and listening, because only by improving all language skills can you not only speak English, but also listen and read original texts. I also use a lexical approach that focuses on learning not only single words but also phrases, enriching your vocabulary and teaching vocabulary that is actually spoken. I use Cambridge and Oxford textbooks as a basis for planning the course, but often add lessons based on authentic materials such as Tik Tok and YouTube videos, articles from various publications, Instagram and Facebook posts. Repetition is a very important component of learning, so I prepare small exercises for repeating each lesson, and every 4 or 8 lessons I do a lesson-repetition of all the learned material.
