I'm a San Diego State graduate with a degree in International Business. I love to travel and am working towards teaching English abroad. I am bilingual in English and Vietnamese, so if you are looking to learn basics or improve your proficiency, I'm here to help! I've worked with kids (young children to teenagers) but would love to work with people of all ages! I just received my TEFL certificate this September of 2023. Throughout high school and college, I've helped revise students' papers by correcting grammar and word choice. I've also volunteered after school and tutored younger kids with English homework. I was an assistant teacher at Van Lang Center, a Vietnamese language school for kids in the US, from 2018 to 2022. I helped facilitate an attentive learning environment through engaging activities about the language, culture, and history. I've taught classes of different age groups ranging from elementary to high schoolers. I like to have structured lessons but also like to tailor them to students' needs. I am more conversational than lecturing and like to engage with students, encouraging a lot of student talking time. I consider myself a good listener and am very open-minded.
