Sahba

I am Sahba. I have been fascinated by learning languages since I was a teenager. So, I have been trying to learning French, Italian, Turkish, and Korean as a hobby in the past ten years. I cannot speak them to save my life, though! :D I also love watching series and movies, mostly in English and Korean. I have a master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of Birmingham, England. I have been teaching English for over 13 years. I am also an IELTS instructor and translator. The lessons and teaching styles depend on each class and the needs and goals of the students. For example, for IELTS classes, we study Mindset books with Grammar for IELTS, Oxford Words Skills, and various sources as supplements. For another example, the speaking classes include doing some preparation activities before class, such as watching videos about a specific topic. After that, we brainstorm relevant vocabulary items and expressions and discuss the topic in the class using a list of questions. The last part of the class is dedicated to giving feedback and talking about the session.
