Rodrigo Kelvin

Hello, my name is Rodrigo Kelvin. I am an Arts student and an eternal lover of languages. Certified in Advanced English by CNA. I have been teaching English since 2014 and since then my love for teaching the language has only grown. I started studying English as a child, taking regular classes at school. At home, I loved getting the material and doing activities that weren't even taught to me, but I loved "playing" speaking English so I ended up learning a lot of things without knowing I was studying. I have always liked video games, music and films, and throughout my life I learned a LOT of English through these means and, today, I still use these methods to learn other languages such as French and Spanish. As a teenager I started an English course already at the Intermediate level, and shortly after graduating, I took my first trip abroad and, a little later, I was already teaching. My first experience teaching was in 2014, when I joined the Wizard language school. There I had the opportunity to develop as a teacher in rooms with many students and also in multi-level classes. I have taught students of all ages, from children and teenagers to adults and seniors, the latter being my passions and preferences. Since the year of the pandemic, 2020, my work has become 100% online and for about 2 years I have been focusing on private, personalized classes for each student. I have experiences outside the country, having gone on tourist trips, participated in international events and carried out a short exchange. I am in contact with the language daily, whether working or seeking more knowledge by studying and absorbing different content in the language. To my classes, I try to bring the methods that made me learn English, French and Spanish, carrying out exercises and giving extra tips that help students boost their studies. I always try to make my student the star and protagonist of my classes! I like to know a little about each student's life, history, family, profession, interests, hobbies, etc. as I always try to bring elements of the language into each person's reality. I always try to ensure that my classes are within the interests of each student, so that they use the grammar and vocabulary studied, within what they know how to talk about. My main focus is always on ORAL PRACTICE, whether the student is just starting out or wants to practice just speaking. I like to do and see my student speak, without fear of making mistakes but always seeking to establish COMMUNICATION. Of course, whether the student's focus is on listening, writing or some other objective, my class is completely adapted to the student's desire and need to study the language. Whether for work, travel, leisure or simply for a dream of understanding English, my focus is always to bring satisfaction and pleasure in learning English.
