I love Elephants, they are so huge yet very gentle. They are intelligent enough to play with humans and know not to harm them unless they feel threatened. Such beautiful creatures.
I generally love all animals but my favorite has to be a wolf. They are seen as something to be terrified by, but they are just adorable.

My favorite animals are dogs. I especially like dogs because they can offer much more than a cat, fish or bird can. The "right" dog can protect your home from intruders, it can play catch and other games with you plus dogs give UNCONDITIONAL love and companionship, no matter what.

Repeat the words a lot and give a context to it, plus the picture of it. Find synonyms, make the student create sentences using the new vocab and finally of they write down a story using these new words, they won't probably forget about them easily :)
