Much is for uncountables and many is for countables.

  • Much is used for uncountable things example:i love you very much the person is expressing his /her love in a uncountable way but it gives an idea of how much a person loves much refers to a large quantity or amount while Many is used for countable things example:there were many cars in the parking lot , you can count the cars that were in the parking lot , Many refers to large number of individual items
