Verbs have past tense forms and past participle forms. Stink - simple present Stank - simple past Stunk - past participle (used with a helping verb like "have" or "had". Skunks stink. Pepe le Pew stank yesterday. Pepe le Pew had stunk up the basement. When I got closer, it stank even worse! 😶
