Well, I don't think its a delicacy, but BILTONG is the most delicious and popular snack from South Africa. It's a great pub snack with beer, or just a regular snack that is actually healthy and packed with protein! Go have a look on Google, you should try it!

Salmon steak (if your from a coastal area) and prime rib (if you live in an interior, non-coastal province). Prime rib is a side of beef (a whole cow) that is cooked slowly for 2 to 3 days; it's so tender you can cut it with a fork. Salmon steak can be prepared several ways but the best way is to fill it with lemon slices and spices, wrap it in tin foil and cook it on an outdoor barbecue grill. Cooking it outdoors in the fresh air is our secret ingredient.
