Godspeed is used to convey best wishes, luck or success to someone trying to accomplish a goal or on a trip. It doesn’t have a religious undertone.
It can be used as both a religious or a secular term. The secular term is the person wishing you well on your travels, the religious term is wishing for God to help speed your journey through.
Godspeed is a noun which is used when you are trying to wish someone well that is about to undertake a journey. It is also important to use it in the right context so as to avoid being misinterpreted but it's ok to use it in daily communications. The word is certainly not a religious term as seen from my explanation above.
